One of the country s largest music festivals, Summerfest, has been pushed back to September this year, festival organizers announced Tuesday.
Held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the summertime music festival typically features a variety of performances, food and shopping vendors, family activities and fireworks.
This year, the festival will take place during three consecutive weekends in September: Sept. 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18.

MILWAUKEE Summerfest is moving its 2021 dates into September.
Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. made the announcement Tuesday morning to give health professionals more time to vaccinate the general public.
The festival will retain the planned three weekend format, running Thursday through Saturday on consecutive weekends.
The new dates will be held Sept. 2 – 4, Sept. 9 – 11 and Sept. 16 – 18.
“From a vaccination standpoint, it just wasn’t going to happen (in time),” CEO Don Smiley told WTMJ’s Jeff Wagner. “Given the way the music business works, we didn’t think it would be a good choice to wait to make a decision and not have the best shot at the best bands (in September).”
