A 14-year-old Milwaukee Hispanic boy died from “complications of infection with novel Coronavirus, according to the Medical Examiner s Office.   The death would be the first reported pediatric COVID-related death in the city. The boy was identified by the Medical Examiner s Office Friday as Alex Hernandez. He died Thursday at Children s Hospital, according to a report from the medical examiner s office.  Mayor Tom Barrett s spokesman, Jeff Fleming, confirmed the death with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

14-year-old Milwaukee boy dies of COVID-19, health officials confirm

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) A 14-year-old Milwaukee boy has died from COVID-19.  An official with the Milwaukee Health Department confirmed to CBS 58 a 14-year-old Hispanic boy died from the virus. It s the first pediatric death the city of Milwaukee has seen.  The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner s Office confirmed the boy s death.  MCMEO is investigating the death of a 14 year old boy from Milwaukee as a possible COVID death. This case is currently under review and no cause of death has been determined. Medical history includes Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
