Published April 04. 2021 7:46PM  Mystic Mystic Seaport Museum has announced it will present its 2021 America and the Sea Award to Terry Hutchinson, who most recently was the skipper, executive director, and tactician for the New York Yacht Club s American Magic campaign for the 36th America’s Cup. The annual award recognizes individuals and organizations whose extraordinary achievements in the world of maritime exploration, competition, scholarship, and design best exemplify the American character. The museum will present Hutchinson with the award on Sept. 14  at the Metropolitan Club in New York City. The event is a major fundraiser for the museum. Hutchinson has 16 World Championship wins, been involved in five America s Cup campaigns and was twice named the Rolex Yachtsman of the Year.
