$73.3 Million in FEMA Assistance Approved For Texans
More than $73.3 million in FEMA assistance has been approved for survivors in Texas after the federal government declared the state a disaster area February 19.
The snow storm hit hard last month and left many Texas families without power, water for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, there are also still several Texans trying to recover from the destruction of homes, and other personal property losses, all of which require money to repair in effort to return to some sense of normalcy.
According to information provided by Nate Custer, Media Relations Specialist/Office of External Affairs for FEMA, disaster assistance my include monetary awards to help pay for emergency home repairs for disaster-related damage to a primary residence, uninsured and underinsured personal property losses, and other serious disaster-related expenses.
