VIRGINIA, Minn. – One person was hospitalized after a house fire in Virginia Thursday evening.
According to reports from the Northland FireWire, the fire was reported around 7:30 p.m. on the 300 block of First Street North.
The fire was contained in the kitchen and living room of the house.
The sole woman occupant was taken to the hospital by ambulance for possible smoke inhalation.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office.

HIBBING, Minn. – According to the Northland FireWire, eight fire departments responded to a fire that broke out at an industrial building in Hibbing Sunday night.
The fire was reported around 8:15 p.m. in the 1900 black of 1st Avenue.
First crews at the scene reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the large building.
Crews from the Hibbing, Chisholm, Keewatin, Nashwauk, Silica, Cherry, Virginia, and Fayal Township fire departments were all dispatched to the fire.
There were no injuries reported.
The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire.
