A street in St Helens town centre is cordoned off tonight after a man was stabbed in violent attack.
Two arrested after man stabbed in leg TWO people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the leg. Police cordons are currently in place after officers received a report at around 5pm that a man had been assaulted at an address on Lord Street, St Helens. Emergency services attended and found a 45-year-old man with stab wounds to his leg. He was taken to hospital for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. A 42-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from St Helens, have been arrested on suspicion on section 18 wounding. Officers remain at the scene while forensic enquiries are carried out.
