UoP clears over 100 PhD research proposals July 17, 2021 PESHAWAR: University of Peshawar has cleared more than 100 research proposals of PhD candidates since the beginning of the year 2021. A spokesman for the university said that a large number of PhD students had been stuck with their research proposals in recent years in the UoP. However, the incumbent UoP Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Idrees has expedited ASRB sessions and research work in the university. The university also held its 8th Advanced Studies Research Board (ASRB) meeting of the current year on Thursday. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammed Idrees presided over the 8th ASRB meeting.

INP TAXILA: Eleven passengers were killed and 35 others injured on Monday when a Mardan-bound bus carrying people looking forward to celebrating Eid in their hometowns and villages plunged into a ditch on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway near Burhan interchange. A woman and an infant were among the dead. Most of the dead hailed from Mardan and Swabi districts. According to motorway police, the bus coming from Lahore veered off the road when the driver lost control during an attempt to overtake a car.
