Gov. Cooper to announce changes to NCâs COVID-19 executive order following CDC mask guidance

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Gov. Roy Cooper is expected to provide an update to the stateâs current COVID-19 executive order Friday, a day after the CDC issued new guidance on mask wearing.

Last month, Cooper announced he planned to lift mandatory social distancing, capacity and mass gathering restrictions by June 1.
TRAINS were cancelled and delayed this morning after a person died at Radley station. A spokesperson for British Transport Police said officers were called to the station at 7.32am this morning following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended however a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family. The spokesperson said the incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner. Services were suspended on Great Western Railway trains between Oxford and Didcot Parkway, and CrossCountry trains between Oxford and Reading.
