2 fatal shootings reported over holiday weekend FacebookTwitterEmail Southeast Texas recorded two homicides over the holiday weekend. In the most recent incident, police say, a home invader was fatally shot by the homeowner. The Port Arthur Police Department reported that Terence Ellies, 27, was one of three men who broke into a home in the 2500 block of 18th Street at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. A woman who lived at the home pulled into the residence, and the three men followed her inside, according to investigators. The suspects, police said, held the family inside at gunpoint before a homeowner shot one of the men with a rifle.
