Geovation announces new GeoTech and PropTech start-ups for Accelerator Programme

Despite the challenges over the last year, there has been a record number of people setting up their own business in a post-Covid innovation boom.
According to analysis by the Centre for Entrepreneurs, nearly half a million companies were launched in the UK between March and September in 2020, an increase of 44,500 compared to the same period in 2019.
Geovation, an Ordnance Survey initiative in association with HM Land Registry, has revealed the next cohort of GeoTech and PropTech start-ups joining their Accelerator Programme. The programme has been designed to provide start-ups with specialist support to help grow their businesses, while developing innovative and sustainable solutions that can deliver significant impact and will aid in the recovery of the economy.

€600,000 in funding is being made available to
Rethink Ireland which will help children and young people to improve their use of technology through Rethink Ireland’s Children and Youth Digital Solutions Fund.
The Fund was officially launched on April 9 by the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman TD.
Rethink Ireland will partner with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth on the one-year fund which is being delivered from April 2021 – March 2022.
The objective of the Fund is to support services who work with children and young people to enhance their efficiency, programme reach, collaboration and their data collection through the use of technology.

Marwari Catalysts will strive to expose these startups to customers both in India and overseas to take advantage of relevant opportunities, it said in a statement.

JAYA: Malaysian Technology Development Corp (MTDC) plans to assist 80 to 100 companies to develop the digitisation and absorption of Industry 4.0 technology solutions in their businesses by the end of this year.
Chief executive officer Datuk Norhalim Yunus said the target was driven by a strategic partnership between MTDC and the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YaPEIM), where it would assist entrepreneurs, including selected asnaf and B40 entrepreneurs, under the foundation.
“In the first phase, we will provide training and mentoring to these entrepreneurs, mentoring not only in terms of business but also technology injection.
