JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A victim was found with gunshot wounds to the arm and leg, at the Harold House Apartments in Englewood, early Monday morning.
Police arrived at the apartment complex shortly before 2:00 a.m. Responding officers located a single victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives believe an unknown suspect shot fired shots into the apartment through an exterior window. Several other people were inside at the time of the shooting, including multiple children. The Sheriff’s Office says no one else was hurt.
Carmen Mcelroy was last seen in Hilliard near West Second Avenue on Saturday.

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla The Nassau County Sheriff s Office is asking for the public s help in searching for a missing and endangered 17-year-old girl.
Deputies say Carmen Mcelroy was last seen in Hilliard near West Second Avenue on Saturday, Jan. 27 around 10 p.m.
Authorities believe she may have traveled to Jacksonville and is considered endangered.

A violent weekend saw six people wounded late Saturday to early Monday in five separate shootings, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff s Office.
The shootings also were followed by the 10 a.m. report of a death discovered within walking distance of the Sheriff s Office s Zone 3 substation. A man s body was found outside a Knights Inn room at 8285 Dix Ellis Trail by a passerby, police said. No cause was released, but police said there are indications of foul play.
• The latest shooting was reported about 10:40 a.m. Monday at The Forest apartment complex in the 5400 block of West Norde Drive, Lt. Beau Bottin said. A man in his early 20s was found with at least one gunshot wound and is hospitalized, but not life threatening, Bottin said. Parts of this scene took place inside one of the apartments, but it is unknown where the victim was shot, he said. It is also possible that the suspect and victim knew each other.
Jacksonville police are investigating the Tuesday-evening discovery of a young man s body in the 7200 block of East Ken Knight Drive not far from where another shooting took place three days earlier.
Officers were called about 6:30 p.m. to a report of multiple shots fired, which was soon upgraded to someone being shot. When they got there, they found the victim in the middle of Wrico Drive and a large gathering of people, according to the incident report.
The report also lists motor vehicle under the category of weapons involved, so the circumstances remain unclear. The Sheriff s Office lists the case as a homicide pending classification and that the man killed was 19. It also lists the location as Ken Knight Drive, which intersects with Wrico.
