ISLAMABAD: Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong said China has so far invested $25.4 billion in CPEC since its inception, creating 75,000 jobs for Pakistanis and no Pakistani worker was laid off during the pandemic from any CPEC project.
Commemorations marking 70 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic ties were kicked off with a Webinar, organised by Pakistan-China Institute under the banner of “Friends of Silk Road”, which had distinguished speakers from Pakistan and China.

No Pakistani worker was laid off during the pandemic from any China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, said China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong while addressing a webinar on Thursday.
Commemorations marking 70 years of the Pakistan-China diplomatic ties were kicked off with the webinar organised by the Pakistan-China Institute under the banner of Friends of Silk Road , which had distinguished speakers from Pakistan and China.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Nong Rong said China has so far invested $25.4 billion in CPEC since its inception, creating 75,000 jobs for Pakistanis.

ANKARA, Turkey: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza has been awarded Turkey’s highest military award “Legion of Merit” in an impressive investiture ceremony in Ankara.
General Nadeem Raza, who is on an official visit to Turkey, met the Turkish Minister of National Defence General (retd) Hulusi Akar.
The CJCSC also had separate meetings with the Commander Turkish Armed Forces General Yasar Guler, and Chiefs of the tri-services.
The Chairman JCSC also visited the Turkish Aerospace Industries.
During the meetings, both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest, bilateral cooperation including security, counter-terrorism and the prevailing regional environment particularly with reference to Afghanistan.
