Johnson County officials are investigating after an inmate was found dead in his cell early Monday.
According to Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess, correctional officers were performing watch patrols around 1:06 a.m., when they located 33-year-old Michael Leroy Reynolds.
Burgess said the Indianapolis man, who was being housed alone, was unconscious. Correctional and jail medical staff immediately started CPR and called for medics to respond to the jail. Franklin Fire/Rescue and Seals Ambulance Service arrived and continued CPR for several minutes but the attempts were unsuccessful, Burgess said in a statement. The inmate was pronounced dead at the jail.

(OOLITIC) – A 10-year-old boy riding his bicycle died Wednesday night after he was struck by a vehicle on Visita Drive.
The accident was reported at approximately 5:43 p.m. on Vista Drive near Meadow Lane in Oolitic.
Indiana State Police, Lawrence County Sheriff Department, Oolitic Police Department, Oolitic Fire Department, and a Seals Ambulance responded.
Indiana State Police Investigate the crash in the 100 block of Vista Drive Wednesday afternoon.
Upon arriving, emergency personnel found 10-year-old Camden Moore, of Oolitic, unresponsive. A bystander was giving medical care to the child with the Oolitic Police Department providing assistance. Camden was transported by ambulance to IU Health Bedford Hospital where he died from his injuries. An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, December 24.

OOLITIC, Ind. A 10-year-old boy from Lawrence County died Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bike.
Police were called to Vista Drive near Meadow Lane in Oolitic, Indiana, around 5:45 p.m. on a report of a vehicle versus bicycle accident.
When officials arrived, they found Camden Moore, 10, of Oolitic, unresponsive.
Moore was taken to IU Health in Bedford but died from his injuries.
Investigators determined that a 2016 Jeep, driven by Matthew Nikirk, 45, of Bedford, was traveling north on Vista Drive when his vehicle struck Moore, who was riding a bike.
Moore s family has been notified, and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 24.
