Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Sello Japhta could return to the PSL next season, with Baroka a possible destination.
Japhta is currently enjoying his best form with Free State Stars after an ill-fated stay with the Buccaeers.
The 29-year-old midfielder s contract with Stars is set to expire in June this year and he is currently free to sign a pre-contract with any club.
Japhta s manager Pontsho Madumo confirms his client s possible return to the DStv Premiership next season. It could happen with any team and even with Free State Stars because they are gunning for promotion for next season, Madumo tells
But Vilakazi feels the Malawian, who top-scored in the Premier Soccer League last season, can drive the Soweto giants forward, especially since other strikers Zakhele Lepasa and Tshegofatso Mabasa are injured.
“Let’s not doubt Mhango’s work rate and what he can do. He showed us last season and is still showing us now,” Vilakazi told iDiski TV.
“Mhango is a player who can come up with a plan. If you have absolutely nothing, he is the kind of guy who can take out his wallet and say ‘here is R20, let’s buy bread and eat in the house.’
