Kevin Tankerson
Kevin Tankerson, originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, now represents the Aggies in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Panhandle State in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in History.
Tankerson is currently the Associate Pastor at The Christ Experience and Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. While a student at Panhandle State, he played football which is what brought him to Goodwell.
“In the beginning, I was not a fan of the small-town life because I am from a larger city. However, I gained a lot of appreciation for OPSU’s small-town feel. My adoration for OPSU’s community increased after I graduated because I realized an environment like OPSU is what I needed to grow”, stated Tankerson.
MUSE Will Be Performed by The Acting Company Next Week
The Acting Company today announces they will continue their Alumni Spotlight virtual programming series by producing a reading of Muse, a new play by Acting Company alum and Broadway mainstay Tom Alan Robbins.
The play will feature Broadway veteran and Acting Company founding member Dakin Matthews (Waitress, Iceman Cometh, To Kill a Mockingbird) and Helen Cespedes (The Acting Company s Rose Tattoo and Red Bull s The School for Scandal). The virtual reading is free for all to enjoy with donations benefitting The Acting Company and Brooklyn For Life (founded by alum Jeffrey Wright).

Hixson native Jessica Combs was recently honored by the Austin Peay Alumni Association in an Alumni Spotlight article.
Upon her graduation in 2016, Combs became a member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) as a teaching pro and club professional. In 2019 APSU athletic director Gerald Harrison announced Combs would be returning to the school as its sixth head women’s golf coach
Combs was a standout golfer at Soddy Daisy High School and then attended Austin Peay, where she played for former head coach Sara Robson.
