Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Bullet Train, was supposed to be commissioned by December 2023. But chances are it may not be realised before 2025 owing to the inordinate delay in land acquisition for the project in Maharashtra. The Uddhav Thackeray government is yet to complete land acquisition for the project that was formally launched in September 2017.
