ALBANY Robert H. Stone, 53, of Mayfield, pleaded guilty Wednesday to unlawfully possessing three firearms as a felon and to possessing and intending to sell marijuana.
Stone, who has prior felony convictions for drug and weapons offenses, admitted that in October 2020, he possessed two shotguns and a rifle at his residence in Gloversville, and 3.8 kilograms of marijuana and 1,395 rounds of pistol, rifle and shotgun ammunition on his 46-acre property in Mayfield.
Stone faces up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a term of post-imprisonment supervised release of between 2 years and life, when he is sentenced on Aug. 25 by Senior United States District Judge Lawrence E. Kahn. A defendant’s sentence is imposed by a judge based on the particular statute the defendant is charged with violating, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and other factors.
