Bulandshahr: A woman police officer who was posted at Anoopshahr Kotwali in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh has been found hanging at her rented accommodation. The victim has been identified as Aarzu Panwar.
The policewoman was posted as sub-inspector at the Kotwali for the last two-and-a-half years.

A total of 447 road bookings were made from December 31, 2020 till 6am today.
According to police, 55 bookings were recorded in the Southern Division, 222 in the West, 129 in the East while 41 were recorded in the North.
Police added that speeding is still an issue as 261 cases were recorded while six were booked for careless driving and seven drivers were sighted driving without a seat belt.
14 drivers were caught using mobile phone while driving and 150 for other offenses such as disobeying road markings, etc.
22 were booked for drunk driving including eight in the Western and Eastern divisions respectively with six cases recorded in the Southern Division.

Police said that the arrested OGW was tasked to recruit youth and to kill a newly elected Councillor. Police also said that the arrested OGW has faced four PSAs in the past.
In the morning, Baramulla police said that one of the most wanted OGW was arrested along with three Chinese grenades.
Addressing a news conference, Senior Superintendent Of Police (SSP), Baramulla, Abdul Qayoom as per news agency KNO, said that “We have arrested a militant associate (Asif Gull) last year on 29 December who was under the police radar for the past eight months since he was involved in a grenade attack in Baramulla in August last year that claimed the lives of forces personnel besides having over two dozen cases registered against him.”

Srinagar Jan 1: Police today said that they arrested an Over Ground Worker of militants who was tasked to kill a recently elected Councillor in Baramulla town of North Kashmir.
Addressing a news conference in Baramulla, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Baramulla, Abdul Qayoom said that the arrested OGW was tasked to recruit youth and to kill a newly elected Councillor. “The Councillor has been informed about the intentions of militants”, he said
He said that the OGW has faced four PSAs in the past. He said that they arrested a militant associate, Asif Gull, early this week who was under the police radar for the past eight months for his involvement in a grenade attack in Baramulla in August last year that claimed the lives of security personnel besides having over two dozen cases registered against him.
