Talon Reginald Petzler had methamphetamine and marijuana in his system when he was intercepted driving along Cambridge Street, Rockhampton, about 5.40pm on February 2. Petzler pleaded guilty to the charge in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on April 8. Police prosecutor Senior Constable Peter Rumford said Petzler told police he had recently used drugs, however, not on that day. When asked by Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale if he was doing anything to address his drug use, Petzler responded no . Ms Beckinsale told Petzler he should think about addressing his drug use.

A magistrate told a 60-year-old ex-pilot he “ought to be ashamed” after driving six times over the legal alcohol limit.
Anthony John Meyer pleaded guilty to two counts of driving under the influence and one count of driving without a licence at Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Peter Rumford said that on January 1, police intercepted Meyer on Alexander Court in Gracemere, and a breath test at the police station returned a BAC of 0.244.
Meyer’s licence was suspended for that offence, but Duaringa police intercepted him again on January 13 and he recorded a BAC of 0.306.

A man said he âdidnât knowâ there was cannabis and methamphetamine in his home after police found them during a search warrant.
Russell David Hardy, 38, pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday to two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Peter Rumford said police executed a search warrant at a Rockhampton address on October 7 last year and found 2.3g of cannabis and 1.568g of methamphetamine.
He said Hardy told police âhe didnât know they were thereâ.
The court heard Hardy had five children and was employed in mining and construction.

A man was convicted in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday for acting disorderly on the Fitzroy Bridge on New Yearâs Day.
James Christopher Aitken, 20, pleaded guilty to public nuisance and the court heard that he had been out drinking with friends before his offending.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Peter Rumford said that at 4.10am, police arrived at the Fitzroy Bridge, where one man was bleeding from the mouth after an alleged fight.
He said Aitken began verbally abusing and acting in a threatening way towards police while goading another man to fight him.
Aitken was fined $700.
