The Directing Change Program & Film Contest announced the regional finalists in the ninth annual student contest encouraging young people to create short films and art projects about suicide prevention and mental health. Students at Murrieta Valley High School, Murrieta Mesa High School, David A Brown Middle School, and Eleanor Roosevelt High School are among the regional finalists being recognized for artistic achievements in mental health and suicide prevention.
The contest is part of statewide suicide prevention and mental health efforts administered by the California Mental Health Services Authority. The program s newest category Hope and Justice encourages young people to express how the cope during tough times and find the hope to continue moving forward.

RAILWAY AGE, MAY 2021 ISSUE: Nearly wiped out decades ago, the lightest form of light rail has made a remarkable comeback.
Two centuries ago, before anyone had the idea of laying rails on the ground so wheels could run swiftly and smoothly over them, nobody could travel faster than they or a horse could walk, or a boat could sail. Then came trains and streetcars, and everybody’s world suddenly seemed smaller.
Then, in the past century, came the decline of passenger trains and the near-extinction of streetcars in the United States and Canada. The past few decades have brought the rebirth of the streetcar, but not necessarily the way it was in its former Golden Age. It has become a genus, with several different species of vehicles that could be classified as “streetcars” or as the related species of “light rail” in all parts of the nation.

The American Bar Association (ABA) Center for Human Rights is seeking a staff attorney to join its Justice Defenders Program. Candidates with substantial experience working on issues pertaining to human rights in the Middle East and North Africa are encouraged to apply.
1) Background
The Justice Defenders Program provides pro bono legal assistance to human rights advocates working in difficult environments and vulnerable circumstances by:
• Advising on, and raising public awareness of, sensitive trials and cases;
• Connecting pro bono lawyers with requisite expertise with local lawyers to provide advice on international law standards, share best practices, and assist in developing advocacy and litigation strategies; and
