Henrico Police investigate woman s death at West End apartment complex

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. Police are investigating a woman s death at a West End apartment complex.
Officers were called to the 3400 block of Baymeadows Way, near Three Chopt and Cox road, at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, to investigate both a firearm violation and medical emergency, according to a Henrico Police spokesperson.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Two teachers in Henrico County were awarded the âTeacher of the Yearâ award and the âFirst-Year Teacher of the Yearâ award.
Eric Byers, an Earth Science teacher at Highland Springs High School, was awarded that honor Tuesday during a live stream event and surprise announcement at the school, along with a $1,000 check from Henrico Federal Credit Union.

RICHMOND, Va. Volunteers came together to clean up a historic cemetery on the Richmond-Henrico line Saturday.
The Sons and Daughters of Ham Cemetery is located between Bandy Field Nature Park and the University of Richmond.
The cemetery, which was established in 1873 by emancipated slaves after the Civil War, is the final resting place for an unknown number of people. However, many are believed to be the enslaved who toiled on the plantation of B. W. Green on Three Chopt Road.
