Starting Thursday, a community vaccine center will open at the Lawson Center on the campus of Florida A&M University. The new twist? If you qualify, you can just walk up and get the free vaccine, with no appointment needed.
The vaccination site, on the main level of the Lawson Center, 1800 Wahnish Way, will serve residents 65+ and health care workers with direct patient contact. It operates from 9 a.m. to noon, seven days a week, and will distribute up to 200 vaccine doses a day for the first four weeks.

Leon County Panel for Mental Health
The Leon County Public Library has invited a panel of mental health providers and representatives from non-profit organizations in the community to discuss mental health treatment, resources, and services in Leon County. Partners include Capital Regional Medical Center, Apalachee Center and 211 Big Bend.
Other topics will include how to support family members and how Covid-19 has impacted mental health and mental health services in the community.
