CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - In February, more than 300 Walgreens locations in North Carolina started offering the COVID-19 vaccine.
It means one more option for people currently eligible for the shot, but some people are reporting issues with the system.
As an assistant director for a local child care center, Rachel Kaplan was excited to secure first and second-dose appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine through Walgreens.
Kaplan scheduled her first appointment for February 27 at the Walgreens on Park Road in Quail Corners Shopping Center.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The initial shipment of the one-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Mecklenburg County, health officials said on Wednesday.
The county said it was expecting 10,000 doses of the vaccine in the first allotment. On top of that, the county is expecting an additional 5,850 Pfizer doses.
County health officials said that Mecklenburg County Public Health, Atrium Health, Novant Health, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management are working to prioritize the vaccine for those eligible.
Mar. 2 Mecklenburg County is opening up COVID-19 vaccine appointments for March 10 through March 31, the county said Tuesday. That means frontline essential workers in Group 3 are eligible to sign up for those appointments for the first time in Mecklenburg, according to county leaders.
