Authorities arrested a man Friday in connection with a shooting earlier in the week.
On Monday, the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 1000 block of W Breckenridge in reference to a disturbance involving a gun.
Authorities said Trayvon D. Walls, 30, was at the home and then later crashed his car on N. Missouri Street. Officials said they later found out Walls had been shot one time during the initial incident.
The Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney s Office issued an arrest warrant for Walls for unlawful use of weapon, unlawful possession of weapon, and possession of a controlled substance.

On Monday, May 24, at approximately 6:06 p.m., the Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) responded to the 1000 block of W. Breckenridge in reference to a disturbance involving a gun.
While officers were in that area, there was a crash reported in the 300 block of N. Missouri with the driver walking away from the scene. Initial investigation indicated that a 30-year-old Mexico man had come to a home on Breckenridge, several times throughout the day, threatening the residents.
The residents had called MPSD earlier, but the man had left prior to officer arrival and officers had been unable to locate him. The man returned and began shooting at the home when one of the residents shot back at the man. The man then drove from the scene, crashed his car on N. Missouri, walked to a nearby house, and received a ride to Audrain Community Hospita
MEXICO, Mo. - The Mexico Public Safety Department responded to a gun disturbance at 1000 West Breckenridge Street at approximately 6:06 p.m. this Monday.
While officers were still in the area, there was a crash reported on 300 North Missouri Street with the driver walking away from the scene.
An investigation indicated that a 30-year-old Mexico man was threatening residents of a Breckenridge home several times that day, fleeing before the police could arrive a first time and returning afterwards to shoot at the home.
After one of the residents shot back at the man, he drove from the scene and crashed his car on North Missouri Street. Following these events, the man walked to a nearby house and was driven to Audrain Community Hospital before being transported to University Hospital for further treatment.
MEXICO, Mo. - Mexico Public Safety Department is actively searching for a suspect that fled a traffic stop, crashed a stolen vehicle and ran from the scene on Sunday morning.
According to a release from the department, an officer observed a vehicle operating erratically near Clark and Boulevard around 3:19 a.m.
The blue Ford Explorer avoided the officer after he had attempted to stop it and drove several blocks before going off the roadway and hitting a tree in the 400 block of Clay Street.
The driver then ran from the scene.
Police found that the car had been stolen from the 700 block of South Jefferson Street, about a half hour before the pursuit began.Â
