Quincentennial crosses at Cebu-Mactan bridge lighted

Published April 16, 2021, 4:51 PM CEBU CITY – The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) was a sight to behold Thursday night following the lighting of the eight quincentennial crosses on top of the structure’s twin pylons. Fireworks light up the night sky during the blessing and ceremonial lighting of the eight crosses of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) 8.5 km Bridge officiated by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma on Thursday night. The event is one of the activities of the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines. The installation of the crosses was inspired by the Magellan’s Cross that was erected 500 years ago. (SMC) announced on Monday. The northbound section that covers four kilometers from Susana Heights to Sucat in Parañaque can now be used by light vehicles like cars and vans with radio-frequency identification or RFID, SMC President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang said in an e-mailed statement. “Our long-term solution to addressing traffic particularly on SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) heading to the Alabang area has finally been realized,” Mr. Ang said. April 7, 2021 | 12:03 am Font Size AAA METRO PACIFIC companies and foundations said they have expanded their daily distribution of meals for medical frontliners to government hospitals in Metro Manila. “What started out as a simple treat day for Metro Pacific Hospital frontliners, transformed into a daily commitment to provide them with the needed sustenance to continue their fight to save the lives of Filipinos. The initiative expanded to include government hospitals within the Metro to further broaden the warranted gratitude for COVID frontliners,” the group said in an e-mailed statement. On Sunday, companies and foundations under the “MVP Group of Companies,” distributed over 7,800 meals to nine Metro Pacific hospitals in Metro Manila.
