A POWYS man will be sentenced in the crown court later this month after admitting a string of possessing indecent images of children offences. Robert Adams, 43, of Tan-y-Castell, Builth Wells, pleaded guilty to all seven charges he faced at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 14. Three charges related to possessing indecent images of children, including 112 images in the most serious Category A, 62 Category B images and 234 Category C images. Additionally, Adams admitted two counts of distributing one Category A and one Category C image to another person. The other two charges related to possessing over 1,000 images of bestiality and another of possessing five extreme pornographic images portraying an act which threatened life. All offences date between June 3 and July 8, 2020.
Mr Donoghue added: “The defendant had the laptops between his legs. “He was honest when he was interviewed and said he went there to see what he could get. “All four were arrested but only two people were prosecuted.” The court was told his co-defendant was fined £120 by magistrates last month. The 31-year-old Richards, of Hylton Terrace, Bedlinog, Treharris, Merthyr Tydfil, pleaded guilty to theft on February 22. He also admitted being in breach of a prison sentence of 20 months, suspended for two years, for affray which was imposed on February 12. Richards had previous convictions for drugs and driving offences and a history of breaching court orders.

John Rees, Lisa Way and Ayette Bounouri were shopping at the local Co-op when a woman armed with a knife burst in intent on attacking anyone in her way, stabbing them to the head and neck with a kitchen knife.
Strangers until that day, Mr Rees, an 88-year-old pensioner and stalwart of the community, stepped in to try and stop Zara Radcliffe from attacking another shopper, Gaynor Saurin. But Radcliffe turned on him instead and unleashed an attack so brutal that it proved fatal. Ayette tried her hardest to protect Mr Rees from the blows that rained down on him as Lisa desperately tried to wrestle the knife out of Radcliffe s hands at the shop in Penygraig, Rhondda.
