Ms Laidley, of Moonee Ponds, was bailed and will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 26 this year.
âAs the matter is before the court it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time,â Sergeant Newman said in a statement provided to NCA NewsWire.

The case against former
MasterChef contestant Ben Ungermann, who was accused of sexually touching a teenage girl, is expected to be finalised this week with the chef to instead be charged with one count of common assault.
In a surprising twist in the case late on Wednesday afternoon, Mr Ungermann’s lawyer told Melbourne Magistrates Court the case would proceed on one alternative charge of common law assault, rather than the original charges of sexual assault.
