365 days til 2022 bin collections changes

From July 2022, general waste bins will be emptied fortnightly and food and green waste bins will be emptied weekly.
We’re making the change so we can continue to reduce the environmental impact of our waste as well as safeguard our community from future cost increases to dispose of waste in landfill.

“Brimbank Council is extremely disappointed with the EPA’s decision to approve an Environment Management Plan (EMP) for Cleanaway’s Spoil Management and Reuse Facility adjacent to Ravenhall.
“This is the third EMP EPA has approved for this project. While EPA does not expect there to be further applications, the approval of an EMP does not mark the final decision on where the spoil will be sent and Brimbank Council will continue to vehemently oppose this decision.
“We will continue our fight to advocate in relation to Cleanaway’s proposal to transport, process and store contaminated soil from the Westgate Tunnel Project at Melbourne Regional Landfill in Ravenhall.
