Airport defends tone-deaf tweet: A spokesperson for Massport defended a since-deleted Earth Day post on Logan Airport s Twitter account that suggested driving to the airport was environmentally friendly. Did a parking garage write this? one Twitter user wrote in reply. Despite criticism from environmental groups the Massachusetts Sierra Club called the Logan Airport Earth Day tweet ridiculous greenwashing spokeswoman Jennifer Mehigan argued driving and parking at the airport means two car trips, while having someone drive you and then pick you up after the return trip means four.
Logan Airport is serviced by several MBTA bus lines and the Silver Line, as well as the Logan Express bus service.

At 1:20 a.m. an officer reported a deceased coyote on Main Street. The DPW was notified.
At 4:41 a.m. multiple 911 callers reported a vehicle slammed into a guardrail on Vine Street by Essex Street and the vehicle tried to free itself. Officers reported the vehicle was gone but there was damage to the guardrail and tire tracks.
At 7:46 a.m. a 911 caller reported he was dropping off a female on School Street and when she got out of the car saw a male with a firearm.
At 8:33 a.m. a 911 caller reported a two-vehicle accident with injury on Hamilton Street. An ambulance took a patient to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and a BMW was towed.
