Memorial Service for Mack Motzko Will Be Held Monday at Cathedral High School

Cathedral Hockey Twitter (KNSI) – A memorial service for Mack Motzko will be held at St. Cloud Cathedral High School on Monday. The Celebration of Life is at 1 p.m. on August 2nd in the Cathedral North Gym. The Motzko family askes those attending to wear a “Sunday red” golf shirt and golf attire in honor of Mack’s love of golf and Tiger Woods. The Celebration of Life service will be live-streamed. The class of 2020 is setting up a memorial in Mack’s memory. Students and families are collecting funds for a tree and memorial stone to be planted on the Cathedral campus this fall in memory of Mack.

Mack Robert Motzko A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday August 2, 2021 at the Cathedral High School North Gymnasium in St. Cloud, Minnesota following a private funeral service held at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Mack Motzko who died Sunday, July 25th at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale from injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident. Father Scott Pogatchnik will officiate and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will follow the services held at Cathedral High School on Monday. Mack was born January 7, 2001 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Robert & Shelley (Slotness) Motzko. At a very young age, it was obvious that Mack was guided by a strong faith and a huge heart. A Man Driving A Car That Crash and Killed Mack Motzko Has Been Arrested

Bob Motzko Twitter (KNSI) – The alleged driver of a car that killed Mack Motzko and another man turned himself into Orono Police on Wednesday. The 51-year-old suspect was booked into the Hennepin County Jail and held on two counts of criminal vehicular homicide. The Orono man allegedly admitted to police that he had been drinking before getting in his Bentley and driving. Neighbors reported the vehicle was going faster than 100 mph in a 40 mph zone around a curve on a small hill when the car crashed near the suspect’s home in Orono. Twenty-four-year-old Sam Schuneman and 20-year-old Mack Motzko, the son of former St. Cloud State University Coach and current Gopher Men’s Hockey Coach Bob Motzko, were both killed in the crash.
