Concept App That Pays You Bitcoin to Name-Drop Brands Is the Future and You Know It

Companies swear up and down that they aren’t using smartphone apps to eavesdrop on our conversations and serve up hyper-focused ads. But this distressing concept app called SayPal, which tips users in Bitcoin every time they mention a brand, demonstrates that it’s probably not going to be very long before that’s actually our hellish reality.
The app is the brainchild of Matt Reed, a creative technologist at redpepper who was also responsible for the short-lived tool that would Rickroll Zoom meetings, as well as the Zoombot which let users create a digital twin that could attentively sit in on video calls on their behalf. This latest creation, SayPal, is a distressing sneak peek at our inevitable ad-saturated dystopia.

OLD WASHINGTON - The East Guernsey Local Board of Education officially hired Chad Rosser as its new superintendent at a recent meeting. His contract is for three years.
The board also authorized the payment of Rosser for the months of June and July at his contractual daily rate not to exceed 10 days for transition purposes.
Along those lines, the board approved the resignation of current superintendent Adam Pittis, effective July 31. I very much appreciate my time here at East Guernsey, Pittis told the board about his six years as the district s superintendent. We re continuously growing.
The board thanked Pittis for his tenure at the school district.

Before Matt Reed became a traveling preacher, father of 13 and a secret sugar source for bootleggers, he worked as a logger, miner, railroad man, hotel owner and lumber town storekeeper/postmaster/constable in tiny Automba, Minn.
But before all that, he was just a Finnish teenager who was busy doing two things: milking and wrestling.
Born Matti Riitijoki in Finland in 1892, he wrestled in local halls as a farm boy when he wasn t milking cows. He grew to be a big guy; his World War I draft card just called him Stout, while his World War II draft card 25 years later listed him at 5-foot-11, 245 pounds.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Music and celebration filled downtown as the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce put on its 111th annual meeting and dinner.
The meeting was held on the bricks at Thronateeska in downtown Albany.
During one of the bigger moments of the evening, Matt Reed was recognized as the new 2021 Albany Area Chamber Board of Directors chairman. He said going forward, the chamber wants to continue providing and helping grow Albany.
