Ultra-long-range jet surpasses 1,100 hours of testing.
The Gulfstream G700 has been tested up to 54,000 feet and speeds of Mach 0.99.
Gulfstream Aerospace
Gulfstream Aerospace said in a news release on April 15 that flight testing on its newest aircraft, the ultra-long-range G700, had surpassed the 1,100-hour mark in its first year of testing. In addition to the five test aircraft currently flying, the flight-test program now includes a fully completed production test aircraft to evaluate the interior elements throughout the aircraftâs up to five living areas, including all-new seating and Gulfstreamâs new ultrahigh-definition circadian lighting system. The G700 interior also features a galley with more than 10 feet of counter space, a grand suite with an optional shower, a six-place conference and dining table, 20 panoramic windows and the Gulfstream Cabin Experience with 100 percent fresh, never recirculated air, low cabin altitude, and whisper-quiet noise levels.
The intense air combat sequence in movies is familiar to many moviegoers with a target in sight, virtual guides assist the pilot as they aim their weapon and lock on before firing.
Such on-screen guides are projected within a head-up display (HUD), so-called because the pilot’s head remains upright with the gaze focused on the external environment, rather than looking downwards at another screen or instrument panel.

A HUD is any transparent display that offers a pilot an unbroken view of key flight information, projected directly into the pilot s line of sight (e.g., just inside the windshield or on a screen) – this enables the pilot to keep their eyes focused outside the aircraft.
