An Assam Rifles personnel was killed as militants triggered an Improvised Explosive Device(IED) blast in Manipur on Friday, police said. The IED, which was planted at 27 Assam Rifles check postat Ramva, exploded at 7.20 am.

The Israeli foreign ministry said all its diplomats and embassy staff are safe and sound . However, an Israeli official on condition of anonymity said the country is treating the blast as a terrorist incident.

A low-intensity explosion took place near the Israel Embassy in the heart of Lutyens Delhi on Friday evening, but no injuries were reported. The Delhi Police said the blast took place near the pavement in the high-security zone and that the windscreens of three cars nearby were damaged.

Jammu, Jan 27: A soldier was martyred and three others injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district this morning while a man shot at by militants succumbed to injuries today.
Four soldiers were injured, one of them seriously, in Shamsipora area along the Srinagar-Jammu National highway in Kulgam district this morning. The injured were shifted to an Army hospital in Srinagar and the critically injured soldier succumbed.
An official said that the Army personnel who were on ROP duty were burning fire in the school compound daily to keep themselves warm. He said that this was violation of SOP as they were using same place for a longer period of time.
