Recovery of mortar fuze used by Pakistani army alarms security forces in Kashmir SECTIONS Last Updated: Jan 11, 2021, 05:13 PM IST Share Synopsis Three Point Detonating (PD) fuzes were recovered by the Baramulla Police on the eve of New Year when the force intercepted a vehicle. Unaware of the material recovered, the police had declared it as unique grenade . However, senior officers at the police headquarters examined the material and came out with a finding that it was a PD used by the Pakistani army for the 82 MM mortar shells. AFP Srinagar: Security agencies have raised an alarm over the recovery of three Point Detonating (PD) fuzes, used by the Pakistani army in their 82 mm mortar shells, from a terrorist in North Kashmir two weeks back, officials said on Monday.

Forces Destroy IED Planted On Gohlad-Mendhar Road

SRINAGAR: Forces on Sunday destroyed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that was recovered on Gohlad-Mendhar road in this border sub-division. An official told the news agency KNO that the device was recovered during night patrol by a team of police headed by SHO Mendhar Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar Zaheer Jafri. He said that the police team found the IED on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, following which an alert was issued. He said that the Army’s bomb disposal squad also reached there on today morning. “After proper examination and area clearance, the IED was destroyed in the afternoon,” he said.

Major tragedy averted as IED-fitted motorcycle detected in Jammu and Kashmir s Poonch

The IED was found planted on the roadside along Gohlad Reelan-Mendhar Road by a police party around 10 pm on Saturday and was destroyed in a controlled explosion by the bomb disposal squad around 1 pm on Sunday, Poonch Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Angral said.
