Currently there are two victims and one suspect is down, police said.
NBC 4 in Washington reported that the unidentified 38-year-old suspect traveled to Fort Detrick after the shooting. He was shot by personnel there.
A Navy spokesman said in a statement: The U.S. Navy can confirm there was an active shooter incident at Fort Detrick, MD involving U.S. Navy Sailors. The shooter, a Navy Hospital Corpsman, is deceased. We will continue to update with additional details as the situation evolves, the spokesman said.
Police said that the two victims suffered life-threatening injuries and were flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

A shooting at a Maryland Business park Tuesday left two people critically injured and the suspect dead, police said, while the U.S. Navy reported an “active shooter incident” at Fort Detrick involving sailors.
The shooter went into a business, causing people inside to flee, Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said. He could not say whether the shooting was inside or outside. He said after that shooting the suspect drove about 10 minutes to Fort Detrick and was killed there. The first shooting happened at the Riverside Tech park, about 4 miles (6 kilometers) from Fort Detrick. The Navy did not release further details.

The man entered a business at the Riverside Tech Park, causing people inside to flee, but it was unclear if the shooting took place inside or outside, Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said.

The U.S. Navy released an initial statement saying there was an “active shooter incident” at Fort Detrick “involving U.S. sailors” and that the shooter, a Navy medic assigned to the base, was killed. Fort Detrick officials later confirmed that the man who was killed on base was the same person who shot the two people at the business park.
The two people who were shot at the business park were critically wounded and flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Lando said. A spokeswoman for the hospital did not immediately respond to an email asking for an update on their conditions.
