BERLIN, Md.– Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 9:30 on Friday night.
Police say one car carrying around 6 people crashed into another car after it made a u-turn in the area rt 376 and Grey Fox Lane.
The driver of the first car was transported and later pronounced deceased.
One of the occupants was flown to shock trauma while four others were taken to Tidal Health.
Maryland Natural Resources Police and Worcester County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the incident, and the cause of the accident is still currently under investigation.

The deputy superintendent of the Maryland Natural Resources Police resigned Tuesday after news broke that he was arrested in Worcester County over the weekend on a drunken driving charge.
Lt. Col. Ernest Leatherbury Jr., who is an Ocean City resident, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to remain at the scene of a property damage accident, negligent driving and unsafe backing, according to Maryland State Police.
A spokesperson for Natural Resources police confirmed the agency was aware of the incident and had placed Leatherbury on emergency suspension pending an internal investigation. A Tuesday afternoon update announced Leatherbury had submitted his formal resignation.
