Sky News host Paul Murray says Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan’s suggestion the borders could still be closed after the end of the pandemic is “garbage”.
“He said today that he would like to see the border controls that mean you can keep the rest of the country out from after the coronavirus pandemic, put simply, anything would be a reason to lock the country out,” Mr Murray said.
Mr Murray said Western Australians should “take out some insurance” against Mark McGowan in the upper house to limit what he is able to go.
“If he’s acting like this when he doesn’t have absolute power, imagine what he’s going to be like when he is the emperor of Western Australia.”
