LIMA There will be a free West Ohio Community Action Partnership financial management class from 5 to 7 p.m. March 23 to 25 via webinar.
The class will give the opportunity to learn to build or fix credit, improve personal finances and create a budget. Registration is required at 419-227-2586.

Lima Council approves family housing and lot swap

LIMA Lima City Council passed two initiatives Monday that will lead to additional development throughout Lima and its downtown core..
The more controversial of the two passed bills involved a $500,000 payment that will fund the creation of family-friendly supportive housing units meant to help homeless families in need. Local mental health agencies, including the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and West Ohio Community Action Partnership, have publicly advocated for the creation of such a facility, but councilors were divided if they wanted the city’s funds involved.
WOCAP assistance programs available WOCAP LIMA The West Ohio Community Action Partnership has announced upcoming programs.
The
Financial Management Program will be offered from 1-3 p.m. on Jan. 19,
20 and 21 and 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 23, 24 and 25 at WOCAP-Central,
504 W. Central Ave., Lima or via webinar.
Financial Management is a free program offered by WOCAP and gives the participants the opportunity to:
• Learn how to fix their credit
• Improve personal finances
Registration is required.
• Plenty of opportunity for First time Home buyers for the city of Lima
• Interest rates are as low as 3%
• Mortgages are lower than paying rent
