A TEEPEE tent will be bought to help youngsters at West Barns Primary School enjoy outdoor learning. The school, which has more than 100 pupils, has been given £2,500 to buy the tent to allow more outdoor learning, as well as the development of a food growing and biodiversity area. The grant, from Community Windpower and BeGreen’s Covid-19 crisis fund, will also be used to increase the number of play items. Diane Wood, community benefits director at Community Windpower, highlighted the importance of youngsters learning outdoors. She said: “The amount of teaching and learning time spent outside means primary schools need all the support they can get to ensure they have a safe environment for children to learn in.
