KNOX TRUSTEES – Knox Township trustees plan a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 2895 Knox School Road. Trustees will convene at 6:45p.m. to review bills.
INSURANCE CONSORTIUM – Mahoning County School Employee Insurance Consortium’s board plans its regular monthly meeting at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Due to the current health situation, this meeting will be held remotely.
WEST BRANCH – West Branch Local Schools Board of Education will meet Monday in West Branch High School Auditorium, 14277 S. Main St. in Beloit, for a work session at 5:30 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to the public and also will be streamed via Facebook Live. Masks, temperature screening and social distancing will be required. WEST BRANCH West Branch Local Schools Board of Education plans a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at West Branch High School, 14277 S. Main St. in Beloit. The meeting can be viewed on ZOOM. This meeting is to discuss personnel, and officials say in a news release that no action is to be taken. Timothy Saxton will not return to West Branch Local Schools as the district’s superintendent.
On Wednesday, the West Branch Local Schools Board of Education voted to extend Micki Egli s stint as acting superintendent through July.
Egli has held the position since Saxton was granted Family Medical Leave on Aug. 29. Egli also serves as the district’s director of special services.
Per Saxton s request, the Board of Education agreed for him to transition to a teaching position upon his return. The news release announcing the two moves did not list a date for Saxton’s return.
The Board will be carefully considering options as it prepares for a leadership transition over the summer, according to the news release.
