West Chester police said dozens of teenagers some as young as 13 are working in groups ransacking cars looking for weapons and stealing vehicles for joyrides.

Now, as the restrictions lift and temperatures warm up, we head back outside to enjoy nature once again, The only problem is that some clown dumped over 100 hundred tires in a popular outdoor pathway, according to police.
Hudson Valley 12 is reporting that Westchester Police are investigating after someone reportedly dumped over 100 tires in the Bronx River Pathway near Scarsdale Road. police are not sure exactly what happened but feel that the offender(s) drove up the pathway and dropped the tires. One cyclist told HV 12 that is was probably someone who worked in the auto and tire industry who didn t want to pay the recycling fee. Westchester County Parks says the tires should be removed by Friday.
A man accused of assaulting a person with a hammer fled to a small island within a retention pond in West Chester Township on Tuesday in order to avoid arrest, according to the West Chester Police Department.
WEST CHESTERâPolice want to cut the noise level as al fresco dining and shopping become more popular in the downtown and as some motorists are making a racket.
Police are poised to start added traffic patrols in the downtown and will soon cite the loudest offenders as part of âOperation Quiet-Down-Town.â
âWe wish for everyone to be able to enjoy this incredible town and everything it has to offer,â Police Chief Morehead wrote in a memo. âOur residents and visitors should be able to walk and eat in town without noise that interferes with everyday life.â

Mayor Jordan Norley is pushing for peace and quiet. Beginning with an April 5 meeting, the mayor and chief have been discussing combating noise in the downtown. As of April 28, West Chester Police officers were provided a directive for added traffic patrol in the downtown district.
WEST CHESTER â A 19-year-old man from Lansdale was arrested for dealing cocaine in West Chester.
Allieu Sheriff was charged with five felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, five counts of delivery of a controlled substance, four counts of criminal use of communication facility and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to West Chester Police, a search warrant was issued at a resident in the 200 block of Price Street on Jan. 28 at 8 a.m. following an investigation into drug trafficking in West Chester by the criminal investigations unit of the West Chester Police Department.

The target of the investigation, Sheriff, was arrested and transported to West Chester Police. Sheriff was transported to Chester County Prison and failed to post a 25,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 5.
