AFTER dedicating the month of March to a ‘Walk All Over Cancer’ charity fundraiser, teams at West Downs Day Nursery in Winchester were delighted to exceed their targets and raise over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK. With the help of a special target meter window display, families and colleagues from the day nursery on Romsey Road monitored progress towards the goal of 5,200,000 steps over the month, which they exceeded with an final figure of 6,438,965 steps and £1,015 in donations. Other fundraising throughout March included an Easter sweepstake for colleagues, as well as a ‘guess how many eggs in jar’ competition for families, taking the total for the month to £1,517.47.
