Date Time Enviro grants to support more sustainable Western Downs Western Downs Regional Council is empowering communities to be more environmentally friendly, with applications now open for this year’s Recycle Market Enviro Grants funding program. Local organisations are encouraged to apply for funding as part of the grants program which is delivered in partnership with Council’s waste and recycling contractor IOLAR Operational Services. Council Spokesperson for Planning, Environment and Agribusiness Councillor Andrew Smith said the program was an opportunity to give back to the community and promote the importance of being sustainable. “The Enviro Grants Program is made possible thanks to our residents recycling, reusing and upcycling second-hand goods at our Recycling Market Shops at Dalby, Chinchilla, and Miles Waste and Recycling Centres,” Cr Smith said.
