A 14-year-old was killed and nine others were injured in two separate shootings in Chicago Wednesday evening
At least two other teenagers are in critical condition
Both shootings happened in within three blocks of each each in the North Lawndale section on the West Side of the city
It s unclear if the two shootings are connected
All victims are being treated at hospitals. Two victims are in critical condition
So far in 2021, there have been 1802 shootings, that s a nine percent jump from this time last year and a 60percent jump from 2019

Chicago fire officials say no one was injured after a fire at a residential facility on the city’s West Side Wednesday evening.
According to authorities, the fire was reported in the 3400 block of West Franklin Boulevard on Wednesday evening.
