William Dale, 63, was arrested when officers armed with a search warrant raided his apartment on Park Avenue at 6 a.m. on April 22, according to the criminal complaint based on an investigation by Narcotics Borough Staten Island. On a table, officers allegedly found several loose rocks of crack cocaine and a plastic zipper bag containing that stimulant, four glass pipes with crack-cocaine residue, three glassine envelopes of heroin and a straw with residue of that opioid, plus empty plastic zipper bags of the type typically used to package drugs, according to the criminal complaint and police.

A shooting that took place on a commercial strip in West Brighton Sunday night left a 28-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and chest, police said. The shooting happened at 8:22 p.m. near the intersection of Henderson and Campbell avenues, said an NYPD spokesman. The victim suffered numerous gunshot wounds to his legs and a graze wound to his chest, police said Monday. He was transferred to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton in stable condition.

The victim was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in stable condition. The incident took place in front of West Brighton Deli Grocery & Grill, near a hair salon and liquor store. Police cordoned off the area after the shooting.

The gunfire emerged from a gray vehicle the make and model of which is not yet confirmed traveling southbound on the 300 block of Broadway at around 3:55 p.m., according to an NYPD spokesman. Property damage was reported at the scene, the spokesman said. NYPD officers could be seen entering and exiting a hair salon on Broadway between Cary and Castleton Avenues following the incident.
