Welcome to CaroMont Health Park, home of professional baseball s Gastonia Honey Hunters.
CaroMont Health has purchased the naming rights to what had been known as the FUSE stadium, where the American League of Professional Baseball s newest team will begin play on May 27. The Opening Day opponent will be the Lancaster (Pa.) Barnstormers, marking the start of a seven-game homestand, and 120-game season scheduled to end Oct. 10 at home against the West Virginia Power.
Terms of the deal announced Monday by CaroMont Health, Gaston County s largest employer, and the Honey Hunters were not initially disclosed.
Being blessed to be a blessing is more than a Scripture to music director William Worm Blount who has traveled the world using his gift to help others.
Blount, a 50-year-old producer, writer and bassist from Paterson, New Jersey, has toured all over the country playing music and working with famous artists like New Edition, Destiny s Child, Keith Sweat, Shai and more.
Blount began working in Gastonia in 2012 with aspirations to bring a Motown experience to the area through his talents, experiences and connections.
Growing up in a musical family sparked his initial interest in music around the age 5 when watching his father and uncle perform in their family s gospel group.
