Mumbai, Jan 28 : Veteran actress and Bharatiya Janata Party MP Hema Malini feels life of citizens in West Bengal will become better if her party comes to power in the upcoming state legislative elections.
Hema Malini spoke at the launch of an album that has an anthem for BJP s state campaign. The album has four songs in Bangla and Hindi languages.
Padma Shri Ustad Rashid Khan was also present at the launch, as were singers Ila Arun and Shaan, renowned musician Ustad Akram Khan, kathak exponent Rani Khanam, and several political personalities. The event was organised by Shouvik Dasgupta, founder of Indo Occidental Symbiosis.

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], January 28 (ANI): The Congress and Left parties will hold a joint meeting today at 11:30 am to discuss seat-sharing for the West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections, the Congress said.
West BengalCongress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury will also be present at the meeting.
Earlier, Congress and the Left Front alliance on Monday announced that they will stay on the seats which they had won in the 2016 Assembly election while the sharing of the rest 217 seats will be concluded by January 31.
The tenure of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal will come to an end on May 30, 2020.

The West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Thursday witnessed unruly scenes on Thursday with the TMC government tabling a resolution demanding repeal of the contentious farm laws and the BJP MLAs responding by walking out while chanting Jai Shri Ram .
Speaking after the resolution was moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee amid vociferous protests by BJP lawmakers, Mamata demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must convene an all-party meeting to discuss the process of withdrawal of these laws.
