Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], January 16 (ANI): Actor-turned-politician and Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Satabdi Roy dismissed speculations about joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through a social media post on Saturday and also appealed to party workers not to give undue advantage to opponents.
On her social media page, Roy said, I will continue performing my duty as a TMC soldier. I appeal to all members of the Trinamool family to work together for the sake of Bengal ignoring the issues if you have any and no to provide undue advantage to opponents.

Kolkata, Jan 15: Amid an ongoing exodus from the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Birbhum MP Satabdi Roy on Friday hinted that she is having problems with the ruling party in West Bengal and may take a decision on Saturday. In an exclusive phone interview to Zee News, the actor-turned-politician claimed that she is not being informed about party events in her constituency.
She also said that she wanted to visit her constituency but her name was removed from the invites and was also not invited for most programmes. The distance was gradually increasing in the party. It is for the party to find out who are these people for whom I couldn’t go to my own constituency, added Roy.

Trinamool MP from Birbhum, Satabdi Roy has said that she will not quit the party. In an exclusive phone interview to Zee News, TMC MP Satabdi Roy said that she has shared her grievances with Trinamool leader Abhishek Banerjee. She said that she will remain with the party and with Mamata Banerjee.
Earlier, the Birbhum MP had voiced her discontent with the TMC, following which the party reached out to her to bring the situation under control, amid an ongoing exodus from the party ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal.
