Adams County Republicans Censure Toomey. (Gettysburg)  The Adams County Republican Committee of Pennsylvania released a statement Sunday saying it condemns, in the strongest terms, the actions of Senator Pat Toomey for his failure to defend the Constitution and the freedoms it guarantees. The censure follows Toomey s decision to vote to convict former President Trump related to January s violent attack on the US Capitol. The Chairman of the Adams County Republican Committee of Pennsylvania will submit copies of this resolution to Senator Pat Toomey, the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee, Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Republican Members of the Pennsylvania Congressional delegation.

Fire at FedEx Warehouse in York County

Mar 1, 2021 Fire at FedEx Warehouse in York County (West Manchester Township, PA)   Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a FedEx warehouse in York County. The fire happened yesterday evening in the 300 block of South Salem Church Road in West Manchester Township. No injuries were reported and it is unknown as of now if FedEx services will be disrupted by the fire.

Indiana man, 19, accused of traveling to York County to have sex with 13-year-old girl

Updated: 11:47 AM EST February 22, 2021 Police have charged a 19-year-old Indiana man with statutory rape and related offenses after he allegedly traveled to West Manchester Township to have sex with a 13-year-old York County girl.  Andrew Joseph Joyce, of Kokomo, is also charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age, indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with a minor, according to West Manchester Township Police. He was charged after the victim s mother contacted authorities Sunday night to report that she had found him in her daughter s bedroom, according to the criminal complaint affidavit.

Chief: $500K fire destroys contractor s workshop in West Manchester Twp. York Dispatch, The (PA) No one was hurt during the blaze in the 2300 block of Taxville Road, where crews were dispatched about 11:15 a.m. Sunday, according to West Manchester Township Fire Chief Clif Laughman. The garage was the business address and workshop of John M. Dotzel & Son Builder Inc., the chief confirmed. It was a total loss, unfortunately, Laughman said, noting that both the structure and everything inside it were destroyed. He estimated damage at about $500,000. The business was insured, he said. Owners John and Chad Dotzel could not be reached for comment on Monday.
