MICHIGAN, USA Here is the latest information on the coronavirus in Michigan, including the number of cases state offices report and other updates affecting West Michigan.
Sunday s & Monday s Cases
On Monday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 2,230 daily cases of COVID-19 and 20 deaths. Today s daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the the state health department since Saturday, May 15. Over the two days, Sunday and Monday, the average number of new confirmed cases is 1,115 per day.
Walk-in COVID-19 vaccines available at Spectrum Health locations

Spectrum Health will be offering walk-in opportunities to receive a free COVID-19 vaccination Tuesday through Saturday at the West Michigan Vaccine Clinic and the 60th Street clinic.
Walk-in clinics will be held at the following dates and times:
West Michigan Vaccine Clinic at DeVos Place
Tuesday: 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Friday: 11 a.m. -1:30 p.m.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be administered at DeVos Place, 303 Monroe Ave. NW. Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine also are available at this location on a walk-in basis for those that have received a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least 21 days prior.

The walk-in clinic at DeVos Place is offering the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, as well as second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Spectrum Announces More Walk-In Vax Clinics
As more vaccines become available, Spectrum Health has announced more locations for Walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations in Grand Rapids this week.
Spectrum Health will be offering walk-in opportunities to receive a free COVID-19 vaccination throughout the week at clinics at 60th Street as well as at the West Michigan Vaccine Clinic inside DeVos Place. Walk-in clinics will be held at the following dates and times:

Tuesday, May 11 (11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
Thursday, May 13 (11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
Friday, May 14 (11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
These clinics will allow those who want the one and done option for vaccination as they ll distirbute the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to those unvaccinated. Also DeVos Place will allow walk-ins for the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at these times, please bring your vaccination card that proves a first dose Pfizer vaccine at least 21 days prior.

The West Michigan Vaccine Clinic at DeVos Place is shutting down May 21, according to a statement from Kent County.
A joint statement released by Kent County Health Department, Spectrum Health and Mercy Health said the success of the vaccine clinic means large-scale administration is no longer required. The clinic will wind down services until officially shutting down later this month, and vaccine efforts will be directed toward smaller, community-based clinics where there is continued need.
